This is honestly the worst school you could ever send your child to. This school has never done anything correctly for me. My junior year i turned in my fcat scores to guidance TEN times, each time they lost it and kept rescheduling me for retakes. Also my junior year, they lost my first semester grades completely and had me off track to graduation. And now my senior year, the best year of high school, has been filled with stress thanks to guidance. They lost my online credit, and all my community service hours. So once again I am off track to graduation. So please, pick a different school for your child. Even if the choice program you want here is closest, go to a different school with the same program. It will be worth all the trouble your child will go through here.

Lake Worth high school is the best.
Great teachers that's pushes you though to become a better student and to prepare you for the outside world. The vice-principle is very awesome, college career is great! Loves all my 4years over there.

Going to this school offers more college related offers and not many of the students go for it so your more likely to get a higher chance. And thier a more welcoming school especially during sports. No school it self is bad it is the student. So you can be a bad student or a good student it depends on what you make it

As a student of lake worth high, I can truly say that the guidance department is lacking. When you enter the building you are treated with a outmost disregard. They treat the students as if they are not important. They tell you to go to the counselors corner during lunch and no one is present. They tell you to get a pass before entering when no one is there to give you one. The front office lady is usually stern and unapproachable for fear she/he will yell at you. This school does provide you with a place to succed to become the best and brightest but you have to do the research YOURSELF. the CHILD has to be the ONE who finds out about AP, AICE, or DUAl classes. The college and career center is quite unhelpful to say the least, you can take decades just to get something done there. Although the teachers here are wonderful and willing to further your education, the school does nothing provide direct guidance and help the students explore opportunities readily available at the school.

For Guidance: You're expected to already have your s together. Otherwise, you won't receive much help.
For Teachers and Staff: I have been assigned to the most hard-working and caring models, but some students haven't had that advantage.
Extra-curricular activities: This is the best way to make friends, but be careful who you choose to associate with. It's bias at LWHS. Most praise goes to the football team, leaving all other clubs, sports, etc in the dust. For example, our football team has always been mentioned during morning announcements, however they never seem to win any games whilst other teams actually are AND still find time to give back to the community.
Maintenance: Grafitti and school destruction seems to be the trend this year at LWHS. A small number of kids will be caught doing drugs, having sex, or simply just skipping.
Academics: The school administration cares more about how the school itself looks rather than caring about the actual student. A lot of the time, kids will just be put into a class above their level just because "there was nowhere else to put them" or "because it looks good on transcripts".

Well besides my car radio being stolen coulda been worse. I think besides the students the worse part is the schools up keeping. I'm currently writing this in the restroom. Out of toilet paper. Send help pls.

worst guidance department ever seriously after all these years you think they would hire competent staff but since parents don't care enough the students suffer, if you care about your child please withdraw them from the school.

c/o ´02 I had always heard that the early camp scenes of scarface were filmed in the parking lot here since before it was redone my senior year they say it was closest to what the actual camp would have looked like in Miami back then.
