My wife and I just brought home our baby girl and we truly had an incredible experience thanks to the team at South County Women’s Health.
We highly recommend midwife Naomi, whose kind demeanor and knowledgeable advice helped to guide us through our pregnancy. She was there beside us when things were challenging and walked us through until we had our sweet baby in our arms.
Dr.Dalton gave us peace and calm when we needed it and Dr.Lee ended up doing our c-section and my wife is healing well and feels great!
All of the midwives and doctors are great and have a ton of experience.
We traveled from Newport to go to south county even though it was further away and are so so grateful we did!

-10/10 if I could, will never return, most disrespectful people you’ve met. Laughed at me and gossiped out in the hall when I had an ectopic pregnancy at 15, did a D&C without explaining what it is just said it was a needed procedure. with my second pregnancy never saw the same doctor the twice even with an assigned OB, random man had delivered my baby in hospital very displeased didn’t ask if I wanted a female he didn’t let us cut the cord and then put a bag over my daughter to collect first urine for a DRUG SCREEN after telling them I’m allergic to the tape they use, proceeded to HAVE TO check my home to make sure there was a crib and the home was safe talking about its routine? NO TF? Nurse Screamed at my mother and my sister and myself no less than 30 minutes after giving birth due to us being uncooperative about the urine bag as we are ALLERGIC to the tape. Now my third pregnancy with them and I hemorrhaged with a high hcg was told the lab was closed before it actually was and that no one would review my labs, and have still yet to get any information. no nurse has called mind you this happened LAST WEEK. Got on the phone to ask for the nurse so she can send my labs in because the ER lost my slip was met with a disrespectful lady at the desk who when I was very obviously upset about not knowing if my baby is alive and I’m not getting answers and that why there’s no lab slip yet told me that she was going to hang up the phone on me. ALL DONE WITH YALL, messed up for the last time. Do not give birth here unless ur looking for a terrible experience the whole time the appointments, the actual hospital stay, all of it. YOUNG MOMS BEWARE they are extremely judgmental and will not hesitate to be rude to you because they think they can get away with it they will also try to get away with whatever they can while ur all doped on epidural. Will bully you into doing what they want. They do not care.

Kristen,
Oftentimes, when presented to a doctor's office staff as a new patient, photo ID and health insurance with not a glance up from the computer is all that can be expected.
Not in this case, however.
Kristen at South County Hospital Center for Women's Health went several steps further during my initial appointment. I am sincerely grateful for your assistance and extra effort and you are so appreciated for being there. Again, thank you for making the visit a pleasant experience.

Awful practice. I found out I was pregnant at 5 weeks so at my hour long appointment with the nurse I asked questions about being very overweight etc.. She said no problem. Then when I met Dr Dalton I asked her many questions concerning my weight and she said not to worry. Then at 14 weeks Dr Dalton calls and tells me unfortunately she can not deliver my baby due to a weight cut off. I immediately started crying. So the next day when I was calmed down I spoke to Dr Joseph who told me they don't deliver babies if you are over a certain BMI. Its not like I gained weight overnight I went in over weight and then was treated like this. Luckily i will deliver my baby at Kent County where I have delivered my other 2 children. I do not recommend this practice if you are overweight they discriminate. I should of been informed they could not deliver at my first appointment.

I haven’t even been here. The phone systems and customer service are an absolute wreck. Made my appointment somewhere else because I couldn’t get in touch with someone, and when I did they weren’t very helpful. Absolutely ridiculous...
